Why are we working in the first place? We work for our family. We work so we can give what our family needs... We wish na maayo unta sige uban ta sa ato pamilya... unya here comes the word sacrifice??sacrafice for whom? to our country? let the govt eradicate the buaayas, let the govt improve her services before you propose to people like us to sacrifice...
we even bet to lotto ron ma dato nata unya di nata mo trabaho ron sige nalang ta uban sa ato pamilya mag sige suroy-suroy... and how about xmas time? dont you go home to be with your family and attend reunions, etc? di ba nindot? you have the vacation leaves and you are allowed to avail them yet you want us to sacrifice??

I enjoy three-day holidays like anyone else but excessive declarations of them are just too much.
The problem with some people is that they think too much of their own intentions without considering others. Holiday economics also mean lesser school days (disruption of academics), disrupting appointments between people and their doctors/lawyers/counselors, preventing people from transacting businesses with local government units, etc.
What I like about holiday economics is that if there is work on the holiday, there will be a premium in pay.
let's all be contented. at least naa pa moy work. daghan ra ba jobless...
Holiday economics brats want more, more, more, more just to satisfy their lusts and tastes. They have no desire to change or sacrifice.
I'm contented with the 15 vacation leaves per year benefits, as well as having a few 3-day weekends per year. Those brats are not. There is more to progress than laziness anyway. On top of that, having a job is essential and working sufficient business days per year is a requirement.
August 23 is a regular work day and let's all accept it. Holiday economic spoiled brats here should accept it as well. They don't wanna work on that day? They can sacrifice by spending one of their vacation leaves on that day. Haha!

For me dili pud baya appropriate na i-move ang isa ka-holiday especially kana mga events like death anniversary kay wala man na effect sa event siguro if i-move. Like sa independence day if mo-fall sa Sunday ngano i-Monday man jud na dili naman na mao ang sakto na date? Why not celebrate it on Sunday? And about ani na pagmove sa holiday from Aug 23 to Aug 21 sakto ra man pud kay 21 man jud ang exact date sa death anniversary ni Ninoy not Aug 23.
