this is one of my favorite things to do-nail cutting dogs/pups...mine or not

,as i couldn't bare to watch long nails. ideally, pups should be accustomed to nail clipping (or nail grinder depends on ur preference) as early as 2weeks old.this is also done as a precautionary practice to avoid injury or scratch wounds in the dam's belly or teats, which is one of the most common things that enables the dam to refuse nursing her pups.in nail cutting @ 2weeks old,u can use human nail cutter (especially in small breed pups),just cut little at a tym & ALWAYS avoid cutting the "quick" of the nail,as it bleeds profusely.but in case u do so,u can use STYPTIC POWDER which stops the blood fast.but in adolescent or adult dogs u can use guillotine or pliers type dog nail cutters.
