Almost everybody is Soring in that Iraq War....its been dragging us for 3 years. If it was Oil....then why are we not enjoying in the pump? ..we spent Billions of Aid on Iraq while parts of Louisana & the rest of the Gulf States are still languishing of the aftermath of Katrina...Something is not right here.

what's not right is the fact that the Bush administration is focusing more on Iraq rather than pushing more on international relations with other country.. prices on the pump in our area is getting close to $3.00 per gallon..

win or lose situation in iraq? that's a big possibility.. or not, that's how it should be right now..

    fwends,

my choice is to support the troops.
the government knows what is best.
my knowledge about the war in iraq is very limited.
so i dont really know what is best.

spec v ...bro di kaayo ko maayo mo han ay ug istorya...labaw na nga di kaayo ko nahan ug lalis....naa ko i-share gamay...kamo na lang research ug ayo for the facts and details ha...ayaw na lang dakpa ang small mistakes nako kay as i said wala man ni nako gi career ang pag take note sa small details to support my arguments gud

anyway ...in my opinion USA is in Iraq ...business lang jud ni. Oil is a major factor...but mostly negosyo jud ni. A few years ago (can't remember when and where but sure of this as a fact)...Dick Cheney said in a speech how bad it is for US to go to Iraq...and he cited the many reasons (that are very clear now)....then he became CEO of Haliburton....then na VP sa USA....then nabali ang hangin....do you know nga ang Haliburton maoy biggest contractor sa rebuilding of Iraq? Millions intawon ni ang gi rake sa American corporations to "rebuild" Iraq. Ang example would be ...for local Iraqis to build a destroyed bridge would cost let us just say USD 10,000 ....pero the job is given to Haliburton for USD 100,000 (my figures are not accurate...they are there simply to give a visual example nga many times over ang re construction cost...using american corporation)

as i said you can research for the details if you want....general drift lang ni ako gi share....

Before we go on sticking to the topic ....

WHO IS RIVERBEND ?? Did he or she gave his or her information as for us to know who he or she really is ? The blog was a nice read but before we poison our minds , we need to consider also what we are reading if it is a FACT or a FICTION .

@springfield - she is quite credible ....in fact she is recognized all over the world now...read some info below:

THIRD PRIZE WINNER OF THE LETTRE ULYSSES AWARD FOR THE ART OF REPORTAGE

LONGLISTED FOR 2006 SAMUEL JOHNSON PRIZE FOR NONFICTION

In her riveting weblog, a remarkable young Iraqi woman gives a human face to war and occupation.

In August 2003, the world gained access to a remarkable new voice: a blog written by a 25-year-old Iraqi woman living in Baghdad, whose identity remained concealed for her own protection. Calling herself Riverbend, she offered searing eyewitness accounts of the everyday realities on the ground, punctuated by astute analysis on the politics behind these events.

Riverbend recounts stories of life in an occupied city - of neighbors whose home are raided by U.S. troops, whose relatives disappear into prisons, and whose children are kidnapped by money-hungry militias. The only Iraqi blogger writing from a woman's perspective, she also describes a once-secular city where women are now afraid to leave their homes without head covering and a male escort.

Interspersedwith these vivid snapshots from daily life are Riverbend's analyses of everything from the elusive workings of the Iraqi Governing Council to the torture in Abu Gharib, from the coverage provided by American media and by Al-Jazeera to Bush's State of the Union Speech. Here again, she focuses especially on the fate of women, whose rights and freedoms have fallen victim to rising fundamentalisms in a chaotic post-war society.

With thousands of loyal readers worldwide, the Riverbend blog is recognized around the world as a crucial source of information not available through the mainstream media.
