    dont bother with these two cpus...
    if you want everyday use and better gaming system go for core i5 or much better than that get the core i7 if you have the budget. todays built in gpus are catching up with 3rd party ones.... but then, dedicated videocards has alot to offer. but then again, everything depends on the budget u have.

    i'll return the question back to you; what purpose are you going to use the computer for?

    answer this and i'll provide my recommendation whether dual or quad core.

    My PC is Core2Duo, runs DragonAge and SC2 on ultra. Of course my video card is HD4670. Quad Core nalang though unless you wont use it for extensive gaming and whatnot.

    core2duo or dual core is ok naman basta imo ram is dako lng sab kaya na nya e handle ang mga regular software running at the same time,but if heavy jud imo gamitan like, pc recording, audio and video editing, photoshop applications, graphics gaming ug burning and writing videos then quadcore or i3 is a must, i3 is still core2duo but an upgraded version which means 4 times iya thread processing compared sa core2duo or dual core nga 2 thread lng...dili ra kaayo makita nmu ang differnce (i think) sa i3 ug core2duo so long as dako imo ram...

    core i series is the new naming convention sa intel

    core2duo = core i3
    core2quad = core i5

    if you want to have more ram knahanglan sad jud ka mag 64bit OS. bsta beyond 3.5Gb na imo overall RAM switch na dayn ug 64bit OS.

    yup depende sad... pero modern 64bit OS can also run 32bit Apps.. the problem with 64bit is f naa kay legacy hardware nga wlay 64bit drivers that is kng concern au ka sa imo old hardware. if not aw go all the way to 64bit.. if d mu.run ang app directly naa man sad compatibility mode.. always work sa laptop sa ako mama since it has 64bit W7 pre-installed. daghan2x nman sad karn compat sa 64bit. the market is gradually updating nman so less worries na... the same happend b4 sa migration sa 16bit to 32bit..
