karon, steve vai uses carvin (legacy w/c is his signature amp) & a fender.. but before (albums on & before G3 '96 i think), he used the bogner ecstacy (& marshall amps).. pero he ditched this cause bogner is quite expensive, mga $3000 i think, so para mas affordable sa fans (fans who want get the same tone or amp he had), he made a deal w/ carvin to make him his signature amp.. his sig amp is around $1700, definitely mas cheaper kaysa bogner.. i read about this in an interview why he changed his rig
