Favorite World War II themed movie

SCHINDLER'S LIST bec. it tells about the life in the concentraion camps and during the holocaust. Also, it shows how the Nazis belittle the importance of Life. Watching the movie reminds me on how lucky I am to have not been born in those times.

I've also seen Midway (1976); it spoke of the decisive naval battle near the atoll of Midway. It was fairly accurate in depicting the details of the conflict however, it was marred by a terrible love story sub plot and sub par acting and dialogue.

I am waiting for a movie that truly depicts the war at the Philippines with passion and accuracy at the same time. Our own local offerings lately (Yamashita's Treasure) for me was nothing but purely disappointing. I only saw one Philippine made movie, though old; it was I believe Tatlong Taong Walang Dios. A depiction of the experiences of the Filipinos under Japanese rule.

try jud mga old classics but nindot jud kaayo:
- Patton ---> General Patton's WWII exploits
- Midway ---> this shows the Battle of Midway
- McArthur ---> McArthur's exploits, starting from Corregidor to the Korean War

These are my personal collection, from betamax pa ni sila, VHS and now, VCD pa lang. Ive liked them jud from bata pa ko until now.

* Windtalkers (2002) - its about Two U.S. Marines in WWII who are assigned to protect Navajo Marines who use their native language as an unbreakable radio cypher. :mrgreen: namatay lang si Nicholas Cage. HMP!!!

* Life Is Beautiful - Won 3 Oscars. Another 52 wins & 26 nominations. One of the best movie that I have ever seen. And left a lasting impression.

OT: ME TOO. "Life is Beautiful" is a very touching movie. but the character of the guy there was very awesome,

Hart's War & Jakob the Liar. ( i forgot if they're WWII movies, for sure it's about war.)
