I bought the ECS 790GXM-AD3 and yes it does have the ACC. But when i turned it to ENABLED nothing happened to my AMD Phenom X2 550 BE.

Why should i use the older bios Fern?

Is there another way to determine the batch code aside from looking at the processor itself?

because the new BIOS(es) do not unlock cores as per AMD's instruction, gigabyte would have been a better board for unlocking cores.

thats what demelsie did with his redfox mobo with a X2 550BE [previous rig niya sa una] ask him for details lang

mobo manufacturers comply with AMD's instruction to fully hide the extra cores by updating their bios firmwares.

Gigabyte! the thing is, if you have a gigabyte mobo, ang usa ka BIOS fixed jud na, di gyud nimo siya ma update kay mao ni ang backup so kung mag flash ka, ang primary ra nga BIOS ang nailisan and then if naay BIOS corruption automatic man mo re-write ang backup to the primary BIOS so you end up with the old one gihapon. Gigabyte didn't care kung masuko ang AMD ani or dili.

wala pakay inputs bay.. ? tan awa lang sa proc nimo naa man diha.. let me see if your proc is unlockable. i have a list of known unlockable batches. like this one..

Unfortunately, ECS has decided not to support unlocking in line of motherboards. thats what ive heard. SB710 or SB750 ang southbridge ana?

^^ maybe you are correct. it's bad chettah mobo , indeed have a great feature this mobo.


Pros: - Great price.
- Nice and fast.
- Great (and easy) overclocker, overvolter.
(->5GHz, ->1.5(75?)vDC+o/v)
- Lots of BIOS settings

Cons: - Newegg's part specification doesn't say that you need an 8-pin ATX12V PSU connection. Make sure you get a power supply that is compatable!!! This ended up costing me more than I wanted to spend on a PSU that was compatable with this motherboard.

* NO TRIPLE CHANNEL DDR3 SUPPORT!
(Look for a different board if you want your DDR3 to run in triple-channel mode.)

* NO BIOS ACC SUPPORT FOR CORE UNLOCKING!!
(ECS will not support this.)
