thanks for the infos..
ur welcome
naa man jud siguro mga "bad apples" sa manufacturing world... basta i-replace sa warranty then i don't find any problem with it... in terms of data integrity, responsibility jud na sa EU... so from time to time, back up jud... no matter how hard we make technology perfect, there is no way to predict hardware failure jud...Originally Posted by realfussion

then again i'm not afraid of data loss, back up lang jud from time to time... responsibility nato na as EU...![]()

migo 3yrs na nako ni ako seagate then i think theirs sumthing wrong ive been transferin files from it hinay then mag play ko og movies from that partition hinay and naai error. Is it still coverd by the warranty?
I've been using Maxtor ATA133 80 & 200Gb for 9 months now. I still have no problems whatsoever, the drives ran cooler than i expected (38deg), I was ought to get a Seagate when i planned to add up but they havent had an ATA133 IDE models, only ATA100. So far i still have my first Seagate 40Gb HD which is 3yrs old now.. Yeah, it runs hot, but i really am impressed with its durability.. (So far, so good).. As for Samsung Spinpoint? I have a friend using it for 2yrs now on his rig, no problems regarding on performance and heat issues..
U may also consider a Western Digital, its cheap, a good performer and looks good too..
had a samsung 80Gig ATA before, for one year and four months, never had any problems with it. just had to upgrade mao ako gibaligya. but now, I'm planning to buy another samsung 80G SATA for my back-up...
Samsung ang mas ayos. unsaon man nmo ng warranty sa SEAGATE kung sige ra kaguba. i've been using samsung for almost 5yrs, wala jud nagdown ako hard disk.. 24/7 pa nako sige gamiton because of online games.. still workin right now. SAMSUNG is the best for me
