I believe that Doubt is hard to classify as sin. Scripture has many examples of those who had doubts yet it does not classify them as sinners.

The following Article is from an Atheist website but I like the whay they approach this issue. It is done respectful of the Church yet looks at the dogma and and the Atheist approach. It is fair and balanced in the way the writer constructed this piece. All should read it- Truths are still truths.

Are Humans Made for both Doubt and Faith?

Freidrich Nietzsche on Doubt, Faith, and Sin: Are Humans Made for both Doubt and Faith?

I personally doubted faith, from my teens until my early 40's. I was militant in my disbelief and was being defiant when I found my faith. I once chased church elders out of their church because the fools insulted how I was dressed, and threatened to whip them like dogs in front of there wives and children. I believe God forgives me for that. I even still have doubts, but they are pertaining to many of the branches of the umbrella of Christian Churches. I see many as following false doctrine and misinterpretations. If you feel that a church is teaching a falsehood and you decide you must leave that church, is it a sin? You have doubt. The church leaders who desire your tithes will call you a sinner, but will God? If the church is a false church God would not want you there, so I would say he would not call your doubt a sin.
How would one know if God himself does not planted that seed of doubt in your heart? Until you are at the right time and place when he wants faith to grow, I belief nothing is by chance.

    (Fair and Balanced time.)
I do not believe all Dictators are Atheist, Communist, and Satanist. To try to state that as a fact is a little over the top. Too broad of a brush is needed to paint that picture. I do believe when one tries to place himself as authority over others that most men can not handle this power, and the power drives them to evil acts. Many Dictators believed they were are doing the "Will of God" will doing acts of demons.

there are some atheists that i respect, those who can keep a professional intelligent conversation. but sadly there are also a few who don't know about atheism (but imagined themselves as atheists already) and flaunt their ignorance as a fad.

    the same goes for religionists.

We all have our share, indeed we are all to be blame... good thing the section does not talk about Religion... only beliefs... I want to keep it that way...

Athiesm is not Religion but it is a belief... therefore we can talk about ATHEISM on this forum... my thoughts only.

Athiest always think they are smart because they use brain to prove something... but something just cannot be proven and remains to be faith. They will always deny this faith.

    In essence,

Athiest are some sort of dictators, they want to control their own life and want to govern people because they felt the superiority in how they think. Remember most Dictators are Athiest.

Athiest are some sort of communist, they suppress the belief of supernatural. Therefore taking away the right to believe. Example, most communist country prohibits the belief og God, instead imposing that each of them are gods in thier own little way... amf!

Athiest are some sort of SATANIST. They always oppose the moral teaching. Thus taking away the very essence of RIGHT and WRONG. In dogma standpoint SATAN is the metaphor of EVIL. SATANIST accept the fact that they are ATHIEST too.

So what is the benefit of becoming an Athiest? NONE. IMO.

    Naa pa bay athiest diri?
    some sort raman kaha?

There is a lot of truth in what you say, man loves the trend, what is considered cool, what makes him different.

I have know many Atheist that earned my respect, and I have met so called Christians that I had no respect for all. I being American may have a different definition of respect then in the Pinoy culture. In America you will show someone respect, but true respect is something you have to earn. Respect is hard to earn but easy to lose.

Those who think that they are smarter or have more intellect do to a belief is a fallacy. A belief does not raise an IQ one point, but that philosophy can sometimes makes one appear to lost a few points. These two concepts to justify their beliefs. I find it humerus that so many people of so many persuasions, not just atheists, subscribe to these two arguments.

    a. "smart/educated people believe what I believe therefore it must be right" fallacy.

    b. "smart/educated people are brave enough to believe what I believe therefore that gives me strength to believe it" crutch.

Both sides of this issue are equally guilty. Men of the highest intellect, morals, and character stand on both sides of this belief or non belief issue. That argument does not stand. The smartest man in the world can still be a fool.

Remember: Lets all keep it fair and balanced. Education, knowledge, insight, and understanding is key.
