my theory is that istoryador watch too many conspiracy theory movies/tv series to adopt what has been happening in the movies..

like one episode of 24 where an oil tycoon from the middle east planned to kill the president.. even made arrangements with many politicians to push through with war against cyprus.. which also involves the wife of the president..the season that talked about the cyprus recording..

my point is maybe istoryador made a theory that the US right now is having arrangements with middle eastern terrorists.. with bush declaring all out war to terrorists from middle east, this promotes the rise of price of oil products due to the existing conflict..

In fact, if not for US, I might not have a satisfactory job right now... that goes to all of us working in an american company..

The blacksheeps in our society is our corrupt politician and corrupt government system.... Yep, Marcos could have been a great leader, I admire his intelligence and skills, but the problem of Marcos was probably Imelda... she inspired her to ROB the country...

Women can either led to a man's success or his downfalls....

Is that what you call positive US contribution? I remember a politician in our place. He went to a cockpit because he is a cockfighting afficionado. People saw him and chant his name in adulation. Then a balut vendor passed. The politician buy the balut wholesale and give it to the people. The chant grow louder.

The politician in private then say, " Look at these people. I just give them balut they treat me like God."

My point is do not be swayed by what USA is giving our country. Its just crumbs from what they take against us. Our resources, our lives and our future. THe US is controlliing our country thru IMF. It is dictating our policies. In fact EVAT and population control are conditions imposed by the IMF. Thats one proof US is screwing us.

Another example is how the VFA and other treaties were favorable to the US. The US would say oh well that not how we interpret the provisions, this is how to interpret it... blah, blah, blah.

Go figure some more.

very true. any nation only has one thing in mind(including the RP).
national interest - and thats economy, world power and influence. and thats fact. to screw other nations to keep ones nation on top is a very good tactic and is not an impossibility.

any form of taxation ie local, national, VAT, EVAT or what have you -- if collected, utillized and spent properly -- is rather more on the positive in any country's advancement than a negative. you reiterated again that EVAT is one proof that US is screwing us, then tell me who "collects, utilize and spends" the Philippines' taxes? is it the US? is it "Hey Joe" manning the counter over at the BIR? is the address on your company's mail containing tax remittance resembles this?

it doesn't, am I right? why blame the US if the BIR can't even collect from big time Filipino-Chinese businessmen? why blame the US if we are experiencing sub-par basic government services? why blame the US if we have bad roads, poor garbage collection and processing, close to nothing healthcare and a generally poor living condition all through-out the country?

why not start owning the blame instead of blaming somebody else? please accept the fact that Filipinos are generally corrupt --sorry for those who aren't-- that's why we aren't moving forward. why blame the US? what's next? blame China for their cheap labor? blame the conflict in the middle east? blame NoKor for launching missiles? tsk tsk
