I just follow the scriptures which if you actually read them you would also understand what is really happening around you. Yes I follow the path established in the mist of a pagan world, that has reached out to the corners of the world. A 2,000 year war against Satan. Scripture explains how the world will become seduced and the Christians will be persecuted by Satan's influence. The world will come to hate me and will persecute me because of my belief. They will want to behead me for my refusal to sway from my belief and follow Satan's religion. That is the burden of my belief all religions of the world will persecute me even so called Christians. Read Revelations, you are part of it.

I follow the scriptures and I have also read the hidden Books, one is the "Gospel of Thomas" where you took words of Jesus and misused their meaning for you own agenda. But if you read the whole of the scriptures you would understand their true meaning in relation to the Hebrew world in which they were intended. I do not sway from the scripture and I test all books and beliefs by the scriptures as instructed. I will proudly place my head on that butcher's block. Satan can have my head, but my soul only belongs to the Christ, the narrow path to salvation. You do not have to worry about you head this world already owns you. I truly know myself, I am a son of the living Father, and I will be a faithful son; Christ is my brother, and I am a faithful brother. I do not separate you from me, it is you who separates you form me. I will always be here waiting and hoping that you will find the narrow path. I prey I see you at the narrow gate, I have no dislike towards you are no man, in fact I actually care more than most

Yep like I said Satan's trick, and I know how hard it is is to see through the illusion. You have to totally reject the world for your third eye to see it for what it is. A 36,000 year old battlefield.

anyways you are entitled to your own opinion. Just let it be.
hahaha..good point! must our way always be the better way to god? why can't it be just one of the ways to god? then maybe we could truly respect our brother's and sister's paths. the insane quest for superiority has caused so much needless suffering. imo

It is the same sin of the religions of today, choosing to find an easier way. You do not change scripture, it is suppose to change you.

The path to gnosis is not the "easier way." It solicits condemnatory reaction from the know-it-all bible dudes. you cannot change scripture, you can either reject it or redefine the interpretations attached to it.

No they chose to redefine the path, and redefine God. The narrow path is the scriptures. Your argument just shows the beginnings of that broadening path the scriptures warns against.

The bible says you are saved by faith and you have Jesus as your Savior, that sounds easy and broad to me. Gnosis is different, you are responsible for your own actions. This passing of the burden on us just shows your inability to accept that truth not only resides inside your Religion.

The path was well written 2,000 years ago. He said which was the path. He also warned against False prophets and religions that would follow his. You can follow any path that makes you feel good in the Now, we will all be judged in the end. The rewards and punishments of our decisions in the Now will be carried in to the eternal. The scriptures do not say disregard these teachings for a new belief if you so choose.

well written? I don't think so James. There were scriptures older than the bible and Jesus.

Such a strange argument you make. It is all good if it makes you happy, and God and Jesus does not mind if you just go with the flow if the world so chooses. follow any path you choose, even if it is contrary to the teachings of God and Christ. Yes by all means do that. Sad

I don't really care if it contradicts the teachings of your God and Christ. I have my own idea of what God and Christ means and it is also based in the bible. Im sad that you are imposing your ideas to someone that has the ability to think for his own good, thats not the teaching of Jesus James.
Many have died because they think that their Religion and Scripture is the ONLY source of Truth. We are so quick to protest upon hearing government issuing WAR against certain race or country and that's a good gesture. But when our belief solicits hatred and dissension and possibly be the cause for future wars, what do we do? we give a thousand reasons why we should stick to its flawed doctrines.

That is were we differ I guess,
you see the doctrines as flawed
I see those interpreting those doctrines as the flaw.

I stick with the doctrines and continue to read research and learn from them, the meanings are deep and there are meanings and messages is hidden right in front of you if you look. Hidden meanings and messages within the text and in the very words waiting to be unlocked. I read for myself and then fellowship, and test everything by scripture. I trust no man's interpretations without personal review. I try to read the true meanings of the text, free of man's agendas, greed, and power lusts. Just what the text reads.

I had lessons in Bible hermeneutics,Christian Systematic Theology,Old and New Testament surveys and Christian Apologetics(my favorite was Evidence that demands a verdict by josh mcdowell)

what's my point? simple. I know the outline of the Christian faith. what Im about to say please don't take this personally. Here it is... the world you are in has a four equal side. think outside the box. im not saying that you are wrong, im only saying that it is much fun flying.

took words of Jesus and misused them? I never made any interpretations. I copy and pasted them. James this personal Satan and this idea of me being owned by the world,to mean that i am own by satan, only exist in your own interpretation of the scriptures. I don't have that concept. sorry it doesnt work for me. Go ahead and be scared by the Devil.

Yep like I said Satan's trick, and I know how hard it is is to see through the illusion. You have to totally reject the world for your third eye to see it for what it is. A 36,000 year old battlefield.

James, thats your world and concept not mine. sorry if i don't believe in it.
Be happy and let people be. thats the way to live this short life.

correct and thus the emergence of different Christian denominations. Interpretation is the culprit here. Your interpretation of the verses in the bible that created Doctrines have flooded the doctrines with flawed logic.

Yes we have differences and we must respect it. no imposing must be done.

Well Im still a student of the scriptures and will forever be.

you trust no man for interpretation? how's that? are you waiting for God to come down and interpret it for you?(no pun intended)

Only if they led to the same place. My path that I choose is written almost 2,000 years ago in John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

You are absolutely correct, everyone has the choice to choose their own paths; hope I see everyone there and nobody will be left lagging. Unfortunately that will not happen. Hope to see you at the narrow gate.

Yes they all lead to the same place.

Jesus said "I am the way the truth and the life. no one comes to the father except through me." That can be right but that was during Jesus' time. During the time of Gautama Buddha, he was the Way,truth and life.

According to my scriptures, everyone will go back to the godhead.

let me quote Stephan A. Hoeller (Tau Stephanus, Gnostic Bishop)

Gnostics do not look to salvation from sin (original or other), but rather from the ignorance of which sin is a consequence. Ignorance -- whereby is meant ignorance of spiritual realities -- is dispelled only by Gnosis, and the decisive revelation of Gnosis is brought by the Messengers of Light, especially by Christ, the Logos of the True God. It is not by His suffering and death but by His life of teaching and His establishing of mysteries that Christ has performed His work of salvation.

Yes everyone will go back to the Godhead, at the Final Judgment.
