i really salute Cong. Cuenco for his crusade against these drug traffickers, it would take a thousand grams of guts to go against these influencial personalities head-on. I just hope somebody would step out and testify against YOU-KNOW-WHO for the benefit of our young citizen's future.

I think it's time to arm the public. It would be good if we also have gun as public.

for what reason? that a guy was ambushed? will arming civilian will stop the killings? wala gamit, bay. When somebody will make a hit, most of the time, the target winds up dead. having a gun will not make you safer. never is.

Ananias Dy is a victim of a grandstanding of a politician named Tony Cuenco.

What happened to Bernard Liu ug Ananias Dy after they testified in a congressional inquiry on drugs? gikiha na naman sila hinoon ug libel ug drug traficking because of their testimonies in the said inquiry. now, Ananias Dy was killed and Bernardi Liu is hiding because of a pending warrant.

Unsa may nahitabo sa LIM brothers after sa expose kuno ni Tony Cuenco nga drug lords sila? i remember the LIM brothers used to play golf together with the late NBI director Reynaldo Wycoco.

Grandstanding ? Whether true or not- I still salute Cong. Cuenco. Dili lalim iyang gibuhat knowing how rich and powerful the Lim brothers are. Besides, he was just reading a report given to him by the police, di ba ? If anyone care to read about this topic in the Daily News today's issue, even Mayor Tommy admitted being close to the Lim brothers.
And I for one, will never believe Bernard Liu and the late Ananias Dy were so stupid as to wrongly accuse their former employers if it's all based on a lie.
Sila pa ? Both of them know the capabilities of their bosses.
Doing something like this is tantamount to risking your life and for what ? For people to say you're grandstanding? Woe, to the Filipinos. It's times like these that I feel so frustrated and helpless.
The thin line between good and evil is fading fast. The bad guys are winning I guess cause people are still so indifferent and so enamoured with people who have the money regardless of how they've gotten it.
Clasisic example would be Erap & the Marcoses. Even if these two families plundered our nation - we still see them on tv doing everything except sit behind bars. If this had happened to another country, they'd be long dead maybe by public execution.
We should all be reminded of the destruction drugs can do to our people specially the young.
Think murders, rapes, incests, countless brutalities and broken families all in the name of shabu.
Another case we should not forget is the mega shabu lab. What's the update on this? For all we know, wala na diha ang tanan dinakpan. And then kalit lang naay manga datu nga mga officials.
Hahay- if the price is right ? The price was right for someone somewhere !

well, i did not say the Lim brothers are clean. i personally believe accusations against them are true.

so why i called it grandstanding? well, congressional inquiries are made in aid of legislation. the congressional inquiry where Bernard Liu and Ananias Dy testified was done by the House Committee on drugs chaired by Tony Cuenco. the inquiry was done here in Cebu with high magnitude of media coverage. yeah, that was before the 2004 elections. did Tony Cuenco able to pass a law out of that inquiry? unfortunately, not.

and when we testify on a congressional inquiry, arent our testimonies immune from any libel suits? why did a warrant against Dy and Liu came out? and uhm, unsay gibuhat sa committee ni Cuenco?

and talking about mega shabu lab, didnt we hear from Tony Cuenco that hes going to name names of the local contacts of Calvin Tan? so, where are the names now?

wala kaayo koy bilib anang crusade against drugs ni Tony Cuenco. as a public official and as currently the vice chairman of the House Committee on Drugs, he is supposed to do that. it is expected from him, no matter how rich and powerful ang iyang mabanggaan. our police is already inutile on that case, grandstanding of a traditional politician just make it more ineffective.

last thing, i believe the Lim brothers are behind Dy's killing.

You're right. I don't think there's ever a congressional hearing that ever produced a positive result. They're all the same. It's all for show I guess - as you said.
Like yourself- am also waiting for the names of the local contacts of Calvin Tan. Aside from the Lims, I was hoping the names of some other bigtime Chinese businessmen would surface so as to confirm the loud whispers in the Chinese community on who are also the other drug dealers in our city.

But going against the Lim brothers is of another level altogether cause aside from having expensive cars like what Springfield said- I've seen their bodyguards carry a lot of expensive hi-powered toys that are liable to spatter our brains to kingdom come if their master so wishes.

it does not constitue a crime, however public perception will always sense something fishy on Cuenco's sudden act of cordiality towards Teddybeary..when not a long time ago the congressman chaired the inquiry on the biggest shabu laboratory in asia - that sets right in Ouano's turf =)
