this is the philippines, after all. politicians here have thick skins, like ten layers of rhino skin thick. also, the majority of the people have short memories, about as short as their pockets and their heads. fill their pockets with cash and their heads with fake hopes and dreams and you have them on a leash.
the deep thinkers are, of course always right but never heard. they like to complain but only in passing or in commentaries. they are never going to voice out their thoughts in a proper public forum. deep thinkers know well the perils of the nail that sticks out (it gets hammered). also, they remember that Jesus was nailed by a crowd.
you have to leave media people out of all this, though. they're sensationalists and trend-followers. any spin doctor with sufficient skill can lead them on to anything.
also exempted are people with surnames like arroyo, estrada, guingona, aquino, marcos...oh man, too tired to list. just think of any and every surname that you've ever seen on a campaign poster. they love to make waves for themselves and their "poli-tick-ing", the parasites.

this is crazy.. i thought there was an agreement na dili pwede mu-run for president si Erap as an exchange for pardon?
he is old, and personally i don't think he's still in the right mind. he hasn't got the right credentials to be president in the first place.
