I do not recall any moment in the past when Mary's birthday has been declared a holiday. So why should it be made into one? Just because you're Catholic and you feel "left out"? Grow up, people.

oh, i've grown up. don't get me wrong. that's why i have no problem with regards to not making 9/8 a holiday, really. like you said... wala jud na na-declare ug holiday. no matter... catholic schools always make it a holiday though. lucky us huh? u a catholic? lol. guess not. anyway, my only concern is klaro lang jud au ang moves sa administration bah. pamulitika as i've said.
