mao nga my last question to our topic is: Ma-unsa man ning daghan nakong diploma, and then wala silay paki-alam!..sometimes, i utter to myself...what really a waste...Even sa embassys, all you have to carry is your impt.documents, such as PASSPORT(maski walay signature nimo), and your capabilities to demonstrate if you're applying for a technical jobs,etc..just like Arnel Pineda, Gipakanta jud..Ako, usa ka simple sketcher, gipa-drawing jud sa actual mismo..I mean, what a waste jud anang mga diplomas..Unya murag ni fade na ra ba karon. Kay usually murag nabali na, local employer nowadays wont ask your TOR or diploma, testingan jud ka sa actual, ug wa kay ayo, ayo2x lang lang pud...

As i stated before, depende gyud na sa job role bro. My previous company and my current company for one, is very strict on diplomas and grades. Mag depende pud na sa company na imo applyan bro, coz some companies are very choosy when selecting candidates, and some are very strict also when it comes to requirements. I remember before in Lexmark RnD, when they require graduates, gi filter na nila daan katong wla nakahuman, their resumes ended up in the storage bin, they were never considered, although i noticed one candidate who wasn't considered was highly qualified for the job. That is also why you should not generalize nga wala na nay bili ang inyo diploma.

From my own observation lang, there are some job roles that may not require you to graduate and roles that really require you to graduate and have that diploma:

Profession oriented - Like Lawyers, CPA's, Engineers or Doctors. You can't become one if you are not licensed. Like you can't become a lawyer if you can't pass the board exam. Simple ra kaayo explanation ani, you can't argue with this.

If its a technical-oriented job role - Diploma or Experience certificates are required, specially if you are a fresh graduate.

If its a people-oriented job role - Managers, call center agents, job roles that require people skills or interaction with other people. 2 years college degree ra kinahanglan ani, i think with that 2 years in college makat-onan na nimo imo basic skills for these kind of jobs.

If its a talent-oriented job role - Not needed, like if you are a sketch artist, a diploma is appreciated, but not needed. Your talent can speak for you. That also goes the same to Arnel Pineda.

    Just my 2 cents ...

also mga big companies would really look at your qualifications apart from your work experience.. so maau jud nga you arm yourself in nailing that job you want. it's a jungle out there..
