pinaka barato 1366 mobo will cost @ 10k and ddr3 value ram memories is priced at around 1.4k or 1.6k sumthing
so if u buy an amd PII 965 u can pair it with an am2+ mobo and ddr2 mem combo so overall maka save kag dako sa platform and mo perform well sad then later on if lower price na ang ddr3 memory u can ditch out ur am2+ mobo and change to an am3 mobo and ddr3 memory
mao na ang point nga gi target sa amd pagkakaron
and dili sad kaayo dagko og performance gap ang ddr3 or ddr2 mem in an am2 platform og am3 platform

as of this time dili pa ingon ka common ang i7 platfrom mao dako dako og overall cost

yeah, at stock speeds nalupig na jud nila ang Q9650 pero taken note: stock speeds. this by far is the most honest and straightforward review i've managed to find:

xbitlabs did not bench the Phenom II X4 965
with the Q9650 but with Q9550 @ stock speed which is 2.83 GHz.

the new Phenom II X4 965 working at 3.4 GHz frequency is pretty much as fast as Core 2 Quad Q9550 at 2.83 GHz nominal speed and fall behind Core i7-920 with even lower nominal frequency of 2.66 GHz.

AMD CPUs lose to Intel competitors quite significantly in IPC (instructions per clock)

depends if what na procie bai and what memory
if intel 775 na procie paresan og ddr3 most probably ma beat sa PII 965
pero when it comes to i7 or maybe i5 its another story na
lupig amd gyud hehehehe
