hmmm I don't think this is already considered as endangered, but Retics have a attitude of becoming very aggressive and they also have a attitude of becoming very docile. they have extreme temperament. I have 5 of these snakes few years back and got 2 of them which are very docile while the rest are the opposite.

If you really are serious in making this Retic as pet then go, but it wont be an easy job, but take note once a Retic bite a human it will never be docile again based from my experience. If you want to set it free make sure that you set him sa bukid because it will cause trouble sa community or even have the chance of getting killed.

Retics are beautiful snakes and the largest found in Southeast Asia so be responsible.

nako ani bitina, 10 feet nya dili jd mamaak, gi hatag lng sa ako mama sa DENR banilad kai nasuko ako mama...basi naa pa didto ako retic..ingon mn to ang DENR nga ila daw e butang sa bohol...
