Flood incident in Bohol at Mag-aso Falls

yeah, so shocked when I saw that one. I personally have been to Mag-aso Falls in Antequera, and I have been up on that rock ledge where the two guys were sitting. There's even a small passageway where you can traverse behind the actual waterfall (which I did).

My condolences to the families of the guys.

I had no idea it could turn into a death trap in a matter of seconds. @_@ But as always, gorges in canyons are potential death traps.

I still beg to differ. you'd have to wait for usually 24 hours for the flood waters to clear.

i think local goverment should put some warning signs of a potential flash flood and also it would be somewhat beneficial if they put ropes somewhere near the falls or any intensions that may save lifes...personally i have visited that area before and i could feel something isn't normal because the water isn't that clear meaning it is very prone to flash flood that is y wala jed ko mo attempt og dool under sa falls unlike sa kawasan falls where in makita jed nato nga medyo dili sya prone sa flash flood mag-aso falls seems like the falls somewhere in budlaan very prone to flashflood because it collects massive volume of water from the rainfall downpour upstream unlike sa oban falls nga sa water source ra jed gkan kon naa man gane elavation gamay ra...ya shimiyu was right, with that kind of flashflood i bet before the other person could react the bodies of the two guys are already half kilometer away besides the area is a bit small to maneuever and rocks are very rugged behind

ako lang opinion murag lisod sad sila luwason ato nga situation, it just took seconds for the flood water to rise that high. nobody even saw the 2 guys being washed away from where they were sitting before the flood. For me the picture he took are already helpful/useful para sa awareness sa uban nga maligo ug falls to be extra careful labi na mag-ulan.
