daghan bya gyapon guba or tech problems even sa film camara, but the thing is, daghan man maayo technician na maka repair sa downtown ug slr any brand. it doesnt have to be an authorized center para ka maka pa ayo.
karon ang mga dslr requires specialized equipment that only authorized centers have and its too expensive for none authorized centers to aquire and needs special training to use them.

. Nikons are more robust even ilang entry level na D70 is much more rugged compared to the 300D (I dunno about the D50 if this is still true). In the Pro level DSLR's Nikon has a much more user friendly interface than Canon's. This could be attributed to the film based EOS1V body of the Canon DSLR unlike Nikons which were built for digital from the start except for the D1series which was based on the F5. In terms of digital sensors, I would say Canon is better with their 8mp and 16mp in terms of resolutions. Nikon is lagging behind in this area with their 6 and 12mp sensors karon. It is true that Canons are more expensive. Buy a cheap Canon lens and you get cheap quality. Buy a cheap Nikon lens and you get a way much better quality lens than a Canon one (the kit lens of 300D comes to mind). That is why every Canon user out there lust for a Canon pro L lens...mmm sweet lens. Image wise in the sensor, both systems are about the same except for bigger file size due to sensor resolution (which by the way isnt everything). Upgrading to a DSLR? If your a tyro newbie get a Canon, if your an old school film nut with Nikon system go with Nikon. If the image matters tha camera matters? nope sorry Nikon ..the camera is only a tool, its the monkey reading this post that matters and not what brand you use. Check out some post from photogs with simple point and shoot digi cams here in Istorya ,IMHO they capture better pics than some of the the 'rich' kids with DSLRs.
