Storage area network - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

i dont know what company but we call it SAN.
Traditionally, if you backup something say 100gb, then backup another one - 100gb again and so on.. it will eventually take up all space.
The SAN we use kay 100gb first, 1gb na lang next (difference sa original backup) and so on.

i had external hdd before, natagak man gud.
i eventually switched to USB thumbdrive and dvd for backups, bought another HDD and placed inside computer as another backup.

using raid is kinda no benefit for me as i usually reformat computer when i feel like it. dili man sad practical para nako.

the manual backup i used are
a.) manual copy and paste to hdd/dvd
b.) bartpe - creates an image of your hdd and store it in a 1 compressed file. i think the software is Acronis or something.

    Mga bro and sis,

WHat is the advantage sa 320 gb external hard drive compared to 500 gb?

I was told mas-hinay daw ang 500 gb compared sa 320 gb... Hinay in a way nga slow mu read, slow mu open ug files...slow sad mu copy... I'm planning on buying an external hard drive para saku laptop but naglibog ko if 320 or 500 gb aku e.buy...

    please help!

    thanks!
