I don't think FAITH can be obtain or acquire...nobody will give it and teach you to believe it, its up to you to believe the supernatural truth and make a difference.

Faith is both a gift and an obtainable grace. You either have it as a gift or if you will, may have it. As steadfast as the faith of a thousand martyrs. But the great challenge we can have in order to prove our faith, is the daily chance of martyrdom, sharing the passion of Christ in our day to day lives. From the smallest decision we make, we can determine if we have faith or none at all. And by deciding to long for it, we can pray and may obtain it.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Ang pagtoo modangat sa usa ka tawo sa diha nga iyang sagupon ang pulong sa Ginoo sa iyang kasingkasing.

faith is based on nothing.. that's why you call it faith..
if you base it on something, that's already belief.. not faith..

ambot lng, basig lahi ra jud inyong definition sa faith..

most people think they have faith, but they mistake it for a system of belief, not the actual faith they have.

for example, when Jesus Christ healed the sick, he alway say that your faith has healed you.
does this mean that the system of belief of that person healed him?

I agree. There is a difference between knowing and believing.

Faith is knowing not just believing. It is knowing that there is a God and not just believing that there is a God.

So how do we know there is a God?

My answer is to ask God Himself if He is there through sincere prayer. It is written 'Ask and ye shall receive'. And in James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God"

OT: Its like this brad i think.

If you have Faith you believe.

If you believe doesn't mean you have Faith.

Therefore faith is the extreme form of Believing.

    InTopic:

Sometimes it requires Miracles for you to believe. Hope you met One.

I think there was a definition, not really a definition i really forgot it, in our book Gnoseology by Alejandro Llano. Faith- when will moves the intellect. I think that's how you obtain faith wahahah

By just believing on god/gods without evidence that is faith already no need to "obtain" it.

I beg to disagree.. true faith does not require miracles of any sort..
