you might also want to consider the Radeon HD4770.

Its slightly more expensive than the 9600GT but runs a lot faster.... $99-$105 for a card that runs a bit slower than the HD4850... awesome value.

Two of these in Crossfire will give the high end cards a run for their money.

Imho..no offense intended... but a 9600GT or slower is just a waste of money... you might as well just use integrated graphics. A year from now you'll probably be itching to buy another videocard. With the 4770.. you could buy a second one in the future and still play games at adequate settings.

ang 4670 nindot na siya?...asa mas nindot the 4670 of the 9600?

9600gt much better but the 4670 is much cheaper.^^ i have 9600gt OC ver. I have no problem running it with 22" lcd monitor. I played dead space, nba 2k9, left 4 dead and prince of persia 5 all max settings at 1680x1050. Runs with decent fps. But if i were you, you should aim the hd 4770 which much much better than 9600gt and the price range is close. Im planning to buy that hd4770 too and am planning to sell my 9600gt soon. hehehe

I don't get it, when i bought my lcd monitor 22" my games increased fps even though i set it to 1680x1050 max settings compared to my last 17" crt monitor its kinda laggy in 1280x1024 only.... hmmmmmm......

OT: unsay kalahian sa 64bit, 128bit ug 256bit na mga vcards? unsay pasabot ana nila?

  8. #18
64,128,256,512bit.. refer to the bus size.

Easiest way to understand Bus size is to compare it to the number of lanes in a highway.

if a 64 bit had 2 lanes.. 128bit would have 4 lanes.. 256bit.. 8 lanes.. and so on.

More lanes equals more cars able to pass by.

BUT.. this isn't the only important factor.. memory speed (speed of cars) is also important... the faster the memory.. the more data can flow through a given bus...

This explains why cards like the HD4770 w/c only use 128bit are able to outperform cards w/c are 256bit ... the size of the bus.. or lack of it.. is compensated by the memory speed... (DDR5)
