Cebu 2010 - Why not Gloria for mayor?

Under Section of 19 REPUBLIC ACT No. 3857:
provides that a candidate for shall have been a resident of and a registered voter in the city at least five years immediately prior to and at the time of his election.

"and a registered voter in the city" - dali ra ni bro kay mahimo man ug pa rehistro siya dire sa Cebu kana kung mo decide siya.

hehe... you took me literally hook line and sinker. Kuan bro symbolic lang na but I believe na since from the start that she wanted to establish Malacanang sa Sugbu, which other past presidents never did, it is a clear indication of her desire to be close to the Cebuanos and the Visayans and that by heart she probably wanted to be known as the first Cebuana president. Di ba sige man siya ug claim nga mga taga cebu maoy naka pa himo niyang presidente.

Well I think I understood her right. I don't think that voting for Gloria was an act to solicit an utang kabubut-on. if she wants to be closer to the Cebuanos I think it is not about an utang kabubut-on but a way of recognizing the overwhelming vote the Cebuanos gave her. Ug utang kabubut-on pa 1, 2 or 3 visits will do and say something nice to the Cebuano people. But she's almost finishing up her term and you will still hear that sige lang siya ug anhi sa Cebu to follow up on projects.
