				talk to him. if possible have someone else talk to him. someone he respects. let the person know u are willing to support him. that is if you really are willing to support him. or u can break up with him and operate on trying to put a stop to his addiction only as a friend. or u can break up with him and find someone else.
a lot of addicts were able to put a stop to their addiction without having to go to the rehab. maybe if u knew someone like this, u might want to talk to this person and ask for advice. if this person knows your boyfriend/girlfriend then so much the better.
but pazuzu is right - the person must be willing to change. otherwise nothing will happen.
