    @lordkonyo,
old naman na imo comparison. naa nagud core2duo, and the new core i-7 processors.

for your budget, mao ni ako ma suggest:

    amd x2 5000 2,900
    mobo 2,000
    memory 2gig 1,500
    hdd 250g 2,600
    case 1,000
videocard 4,000 (just make sure gddr3)

    Total 14,000

i think this will do. it will be decent enough. pero dili hi-end.

Bisag kuwang ang budget, naa ghapon mu fit ana nga budget dont worry. For that budget, u have a choice, complete package but DDR2, or incomplete package or anam anam nmo, if DDR3

    So if DDR2,

    Athlon x2 5000, or Equivalent C2D
    Videocard 9500GT 1GB
ang RAM, need not be corsair, it will eat your budget.

So kasagaran motherboard nga DDR2, only supports until 4 GB RAM, mostly but not limited to, knang ECS or elitegroup brands

Using this setup, if you plan on buying 320GB hard disk, your power supply must not be "stock" or knang built in ba or pakapin sa CPU. It must be branded, or you will have power shortage. 500W will do, but better if above.

On the other hand, if you want long term upgrades, better purchase DDR3 motherboard with DDR3 components. Like they said, videocard is DDR3. So most likely above 128bit nana xa. 512MB 256bit versus 1GB 128bit, mas winner ang 512MB.

Also in DDR3, when it comes to RAM, it will support RAM with speeds more than 800MHz or 1066MHz.

Then the OS will follow. If you have good specs na in DDR3 platform, your PC is ready for 64bit, which is very much faster than 32bit OS. Dont support piracy, but dont support microsoft either, they are too greedy for their prices.
