yes, we are really going to waste a lot of money if we keep on changing our decision what to use during election come 2010. it will be possible nga makabayad na ta 11 billion pesos pero come election dili gihapon ni magamit kay naay protest filed sa court. daghan naman siguro ni na happen ingon ani, one example lang ako mahatag kay katong pagkalunod sa Princess of the Stars sa Sulpicio, kulang kaayo sa communication equipment ang coast guards pero diay to naay equipment nga gitaya nalang naa ra sulod sa usa ka container van kay dili pwede ila gamiton kay naay kaso nagpabilin nga wala pa gyud desisyon.

mao ra sad unya ni ma happen aning 11 billion nga automation machines if naa gyud magbabag-babag ani tayaon lang ni dili magamit. kung hunahunaon gani bisan unsa pa gamiton same ra man gihapon na ang manlansar ug modaug kay balik2x ra man ato kandidato every election.

That's too much to ask. Sure Filipinos can be honest for one day, that's easy. But on election day?

are they really putting up a challenge and betting that the machines are hack proof?
or just looking for vulnerability of the system and make use of it?

can someone could hack it in good intention and shift the vote to the right candidate.

i believe, na sakto ni cayetano.. for a country like philippines, wherein ang corruption is rampant, and govt officials dislike change coz dili na sila ka racket.. and always gives out baseless principles/defense e.g comelec is not ready for automation... then this is a a very much practical way of proving the automation's worth.

and also for those people who aren't so into software automation or engineering.. be in be known that any system undergoes rigid and intense testing, now giving this challenge out to IT professionals is a sure of way of the testing the system coz it's not bias, so now if people are saying na "what about 100m reward", be it known pud na when u undergo testing/uat/beta run.. u also shell out budget... only difference is.. there's a clear cut on the magnitude of technical expertise difference between hackers and typical software testers....

And to be straightforward.. i don't like any philippine official.... and i'm pushing for the idea not the person.....
