Thanks au sa links....Will study more next week..work nasad, busy nasad...hehehe

@sir poldo and earlz, mangayo lang nya ko YM ninyo kung ok ra...hehehe..para makat-un kog maayo jud...
SPD siguro na ang PC-6400. most enthusiast rams needs to be hard set in BIOS to get the rated frequency and latency.

    CPU-Z Validator 3.0

1.456 ang voltage naa sa cpuz pero sa ako bios g set to auto pa nako kai ng libog ko pila i butang. Kung ako butangan og value kai wala man gud display...hadlok sad ko...hehe

Nglibog ko about sa DRAM Frequency.
Sa SPD unsa pasabot ana frequency under Jedec #1 #2 and EPP #1?
Meaning kung kana nga mem timings mao sad dapat ang FSB freq? or unsa? hehe...mao man gud ako g sunod..ako g 400 Mhz nya akong g 5-5-5-18. Hehehe. Kai ako g suwayan 533 ang FSB freq then ako g 5-5-5-15-2T d man mo post..hehe..ambot if sakto ako pagsabot. lol, mo basa pa ko..ako ra g-testingan akong mga pagbsabot.. Thanks daan..

The CPU Base Clock (BCLK), front-side bus (FSB) and the memory frequency are all linked. Meaning, if you adjust the BCLK, the frontside bus and the memory frequency increases as well (not to mention, PCIE clock and PCI clock increases, too.) The entire bus of the system increases when you overclock BCLK hence the reason why you need to lock the PCIE (100 MHz) and PCI (33 MHz) frequency to avoid damaging the device connected to them.

As for your question, your northbridge chipset or properly known as Memory Controller Hub (MCH) runs at certain straps depending on the BCLK. For example, if your processor has a BCLK of 200 MHz, your MCH maintains the corresponding straps available for a 200 MHz BCLK (200, 266, 333, 400, etc.). This strap configures what your memory frequency will be and if set to AUTO, your MCH will choose the best values written on the memory itself known as Serial Presence Detect (SPD). SPD values are written in an EEPROM on a certain chip in the memory. SPD values are standards, they are maintained by the group body called Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC) that set standards for electronic devices.

The standard memory configuration for DDR2-SDRAM memory are the following: <source: wikipedia>

The voltage standard for DDR2-SDRAM is 1.8 volts. No matter what the frequency you see on the table, its voltage is always set to standard. Now, since there are users like you and me who are suckers for speed, memory manufacturers deviate from standards and provide different settings at different voltages. DDR2-1066 is a standard with a CL (cache latency) of either 6 or 7 but if you check the packaging, your manufacturer provides an information that your memory can run at the same 533 MHz (1066) frequency but at a faster latency CAS5 but they have to deviate from the standard voltage 1.8 to 2.0 - 2.2 volts. These memory ratings are not in SPD since they are not standard and the same reason why your computer detects a different value than the one advertised by your manufacturer.

more on epp and memory dividers later...

first pag research usa sa pencil mod sa imo motherboard, also called vcore mod. kay para sure na wla kay problema sa vcore. tapos ayaw na pag OC ng imo lng, pangkopya lang sa mga nakaoverclock na -na same specs sa imo.

By "vcore" do you mean vcpu ?

I dont see much of a need for vcpu mod on that board, it has both LLC and over 1.995v vCPU selection.
