    If your familiar with Windows Vista the issues with this OS if your connecting your computer using the local connection via Ethernet obviously, as you check the LAN status you might see as "unidentified network". This status will never get an IP address.

    My Solutions sometimes it will work sometimes it will not:

    * Turn Off Windows Firewall or any firewall on your computer
    * Disable and enable LAN
    * Diagnose the problem
    * Restart the computer
    * Assign static IP address that is the same range with the network and set it to obtain after it connects to the Internet

    Probably naka enable iyang wireless while using cable. Usually it gives problem when you are using cable while your wireless is on. Maybe you would clarify your setup so people could help u, its confusing since you dont mention the setup.

    Thanks a lot!

    First of all... where is this "PLACE" you're talking about with the HUB?
    In your OFFICE, at HOME or SCHOOL?
    If it's in the OFFICE or SCHOOL... there's a chance they're using STATIC IPs.

    You talk about the HUB... where is that HUB connected to?
    You can't just get an internet connection by connecting to a HUB.
    Is that hub connected to a ROUTER?

    Do you know how to use IPCONFIG? Open up a command window by using RUN then typing CMD.
    Make sure you're connected to the HUB.
    Once you're in that command window, type IPCONFIG /ALL
    You should see your IP Addresses there. Tell us what they are.
    Do the same thing to your DESKTOP, then post the IP addresses here.

    Since your an IT Consultant kuno how big is the chance nga ga gamit ug Static IP's kung Office or School man galing iya pasabot sa place.

    Just to make it clear, are you talking about the whole network is using a Static IP address. Even La Salle, People Support and Convergys here in Manila we never encounter that.
