EQ really gets u promoted but IQ will let you stay on the position... so it really is still a balancing act...

No doubt about this, but when you are already in the job/position. It means that you already have the IQ. So it is given already that an employee has the IQ for the job. But for employees to progress very fast (promotion) he must have a very high EQ.
