Thread: router prob.

  1. #11

    Default router prob.

Thanks for trying to help guys but its still doesn't work. My internet works fine when I connect the ADSL modem directly to my pc but then lose the connection when I pass it through the router, all the lights in the router are blinking, meaning the connection is fine and there's some data transfer going on. I'm subscribed under bayantel dsl (skyinernet), I tried calling them but they said its the router thats the problem. Is it? Does my problem have something to do with the ISP itself? I'm thinking of transferring ISPs but I'm afraid when I do so, the same problem's gonna be there.

changing to another ISP won't definitely solve your problem. your ISP is working fine as it works when the modem is directly connected to your PC.. It has something to do with the router configuration or with the router itself

i think u have to supply the username/password, in my ISP, i open a web browser and it automatically goes to the login screen, this happens if i use my router or when i connect directly to the modem, i only do it once though for every change of config

agentSMITH yes there is also a possible problm w/ your isp provider in some cases. but in your case i think it's in your router prob. Cz f u connect your pc directly to your adsl, there is no problem, am i right? so, u have 2 know first the dns of your isp or u can see it in "ms-dos prompt." nya e-default-gateway nmo ang mga workstation kng router. nya c router e default-gateway nmo sa proxy server (f adsl nmo directly connected sa pc).
f adsl modem nmo connected cya sa hub or switch, naa gyd na cya configuration.depende sa imo router f web-based application sayon ra.

try turning off your anti virus then try the webcam feature. @agentsmith wala nila kuhaa ang mac address sa router? basin wa ma recognize sa server ang mac sa imo router mao di ka maka sulod using teh router.

whats the configuration of ur ADSL modem? it has something to do with the configuration of your router coz the connection is fine if you connect directly to your ADSL modem. check firewall setup of your router.
