Why is there no distinction between turn-based and real-time strategy?

For me, Blizzard Products are king in the RTS arena. With the Close Combat series following.


In the turn based arena, my favorites are:

KOEI's series (Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Nobunaga's Ambition, etc.)

XCOM series

Steel Panthers series

Sid Meier's Civilization series

And my favorite, the Total War series, which is a mix of TB and RTS.
