There is something inherently wrong with this statement.

Doesn't the statement "I prefer offline because I can play it alone." make more sense? I mean how can you enjoy playing offline with your friends, if your computer is not hooked up to their computers? However, if you mean an LAN game, then whether you like it or not, that is still considered to be "online", in the sense that you use the MULTIPLAYER functionality of the game in question, since when one of your friends join in your LAN game, he comes "online" into the game.

I prefer both. There are times that I just feel like being anti-social and be left alone so I go fire up the single player campaign of a favorite game or try to finish that RPG that I may have neglected recently.

Then there are times that I just feel like being competitive so I go online and start teabagging everyone, shout at my team for being n00bs, and then blame everything on LAG!! when I loose.
