same here... i tell those whom im txting to to reply on my number and not thru dat txt i sent them, thru chikka, for them to avoid the deduction.
When chikka upgraded their teal into a higher version, where MMS sending was possible, that's the time when automatic charging of P2.50 started... but doesn't it also depends if the receiver accept the message?
As a perpetual user of chikka, i feel sad of the news but if they also have given us the wrong information regarding their deduction processes... that's such a big insult and abuse to us users.

talking about ads sa smart and globe, nailad jud ko anang globe nga free ringtone. 1st ra diay ang free then autodownload and auto deduct everyweek nga tag 12/15 pesos...trice nko gi report sa globe ayala pero mao gihapon.even ang employee ni ingon nga, "ako gani sir, nag problem sad ko. Til now sige deduct".

i think they are tracking the wrong railway.. on my personal experience, on my prepaid sim.. even if i recieve tons of chikka messages from friends/relatives.. it doesnt deducts on my prepaid load. as far as i know it ONLY deducts when you REPLY on the chikka number.. in which i also do the same(as other istoryans suggested) to tell the person whom im sending the sms to reply directly thru my cel.

“We got this impression that people were being charged whenever they sent a text message from their computers to a mobile phone subscriber. The order was not meant to stop Chikka service. We just ordered telcos to stop charging,” Sarmiento said Thursday.
