I believe that God gave us our sexual drive for a noble purpose, and that is for procreation and for the physical and intimate expression of love (Pleasure is an added bonus). The problem is we distorted it (I agree that the media really does have a huge role in this) and focused only on the pleasure aspect.

C. S. lewis was right when he said that our appetite for carnal lust is dysfunctional. Sexual drive is as basic as the drive for food, but we don't ogle like maniacs at pictures of food slowly being unveiled in front of us. How come we have such an unhealthy appetite for naked women on TV or the Internet? Something is seriously wrong.

hmm di kaha we confuse lust with libido? "lust" connotes loss of self-control. nga mura na ka mabuang kung di nimo mabatunan ang usa ka butang, regardless of the consequences .. mao nga when applied to sëx ang uban mang-rape na lang kay wala nay control.

the bible and other religious texts teach how to overcome lust. is overcoming lust a bad thing? why hate the bible, then in effect christianity in general, because it teaches against lust? the bible is a good book. probably not a perfect book, i doubt such thing exists anyway, but it's a good book. daghan lang jud haters.
