Though it is improper to answer a question with another question, let me do it anyway. Why is the Holy Mass of Eastern Rite Catholics valid for Latin Rite Catholics? The rituals in the Eastern Rite is very much different than that of the Latin Rite. Eastern Rite Holy Mass delves more on the mystical.
Why is there no single Latin Mass in the country? Straight answer - because of the consequent confusion in the 70's about what had been change by the Second Vatican Council. Fortunately, the current Pope is at it. As to being banned, that is not true. Though I have heard of a priest from Batuan, Bohol, who have castigated another priest for celebrating Latin mass, he is not the bishop. He may as well be part of those generation of priest who were 'confused'.
Let me refer you to a university at the US - Ave Maria University (
http://www.naples.avemaria.edu/). Look at their video introduction. Look carefully. You can see that, in the video, they are celebrating the Holy Mass where the whole congregation is facing the altar - including the priest. By the way, Ave Maria University is founded by Thomas Monaghan. Incidentally, this man is the founder of Domino's Pizza (?).
Indeed, when I first heard the Latin Mass, it was ... BEAUTIFUL! Yet, I could not understand a word. That is not entirely true. Kyrie Elieson I do understand. Ora pro nobis also. But, before the whole language of the Holy Mass was changed to the vernacular, only a few of the congregation understand what is being said and consequent reply. That is not entirely good. If that is the case, we are not celebrating the Holy Mass with the priest. We are just 'mouthing' it.
Now that most people have attained some form of education, it would probably be good to have some Latin Holy Mass again using a Latin missal with English/vernacular translation on one side - like a diglot bible.

You could ask Cardinal Vidal. Are you from the Archdiocese of Cebu? If not, you can ask your local ordinary. Please remember that most priests who started their training to the priesthood around the 70's are probably wading in the murky waters of post-Vatican II theology. Such catch-word as 'the spirit of Vatican II' is a give-away for some of this type.
I say it again. The reasons of the SSPX for leaving the fold of those in full communion with the Bishop of Rome are never enough reason to do so. To do so is to rip apart the Body of Christ. What good does that do?
