hmm not exactly bro. "cowboy" here in cebu leans more towards the meaning "game for something unsophisticated." one can be educated/rich/savvy but still be a "cowboy" anytime.
several months ago i met this german tourist who never liked the packaged tours coz 'they're so artificial." he never liked that "bohol day tour" saying that all he did was rush from one spot to the next and never really got to mingle with the locals. what he enjoyed, surprisingly, was mingle with the neighboring village folks, like play basketball with the istambays and hang around kanto boys and girls in sari-sari stores. LOL. he said that's the true cultural experience. locals in that community would say, "cowboy kaayu to germana."I really liked that guy heheheh

When I was young my favorite vehicle was the tricycle. It was like a symbol of fun and excitement for me and I always wondered what it would be like to ride on top. When I got into highschool I fulflilled that dream. We were on our way to a classmate's house (still in our uniforms) to celebrate her birthday. Imagine teenagers in a convertible noisily waving their hands in the air on a highway. Now imagine another group of teenagers waving their hands in the air on top of a tricycle in between fields of sugarcane. It was scary being a bit of a safety freak that I am but it was one of the best moments in my entire life.
I've been to diskorals and eating in stranger's houses during fiestas.
I would give anything a taste just as long as it's not moving, not human, not a cat and not a dog.![]()
Ships are like mini vacation spots for me. I love ships! Especially the ones with videoke machines.

A few months back I went to Iligan with some co-worker friends and being budget travelers we took the ship. it was a weekend travel and time was really of the essence as i had to report for work 8AM sharp that coming Monday. Determined not to be late or absent, i took a shower in one of the ship's shower cubicles. lisod and yucky for some but then again i thought, "what the heck, panagsa ra ni mahitabo." so i showered, got dressed, and packed stuff into a small backpack, and got on a taxi and headed straight to workplace. needless to say, i got there on the dot while my friends had to call in "sick."![]()
