actually it can go both ways.

    1) That the poor professor got owned by the student.
    2) that this theist believes that having a brain is a matter of faith.

obviously the illustration is designed to protect the bias of the author.

i think the author was refering to the professor's brain...if the students have felt it, touched or smelt it...yes, "Medical science has shown us how it looks like and educated us as to where it is located"...just like the historians and theologists have shown us an image of Buddha, God, Jesus...educated us on the doctrines. pero wala jud ta kita sa actual....just like the students...wala sila kita sa actual brain sa professor...FAITH is telling them nga naa siya'y brain based from medical science...

    FAITH!

FAITH.The link between man & God is FAITH. That is all that keeps things moving & alive....maski unsa pa na imo gituohan, imo belief....unsa pa na imo god diha...athesit ba ka o dili.. the fact nga naa kay gituohan mao na nang FAITH.

naa pay mas labaw sa faith... love....

faith without love is the very cause of religious conflicts...

this is where christians have failed in their given mission... they focus too much on faith...

it is written: God IS Love... never was He equated with anything else

    FAITH!

hehe, its a wrong illustration again.

If they were to kill the professor right there at that very moment and split his head off then they could have seen the brain.

In comparison to God, you cant locate Him, nobody has seen Him. and i do agree that it takes faith to trust in God but believing in a brain, you dont need faith.

i think it was an analogy...brain=knowledge of medical science, GOD=FAITH.....but i think b4 science knew, saw and located the brain...i think they were hypothesizing and i think they believed in their hypothesis...and that belief, i think is FAITH.

My friend, it is an illustration containing analogy.

Before science knew that there's a brain, the people were in darkness. Nobody knew what brain is. The story i believe has a modern touch in it.

Its a hypothesis and not faith and could be rejected as such if it wasnt proven.

so before science knew about the brain, what did the first person do to end up with the brain today?? he believed on the idea that there is a brain....without even seeing one....and what do u call that??i think it's faith....and since they had faith...darkness??no more.if it can't be proven, the hypothesis could be rejected but faith was there.

Before science knew there was a brain, ordinary people have no idea what brain is.

Its not faith, its curiosity that made them split the head of a dead person.

if it cant be proven, the hypothesis could be rejected but what is left is an unsatisfied curiosity.

if one is curious, is it not because he believed?? in our case, that they believed that something is inside the head??proven or not??....the point is, that they believed.and i think that is faith.....if u r curious of something...why??because u "believe" that there is "something" on that something..
