How use PLDT Zyxel modem router?

whats your model number sa zyxel nimo, not all modems provided by pldt are modem routers, 1 way to check your modem if its a modem/router or just a plain DSL modem is by checking the IP address your getting by connecting your computer to your modem...if you get a private ip address 192.x.x.x, this means that you have a modem router, if you have an ip add 124.x.x.x, then what you have is a plain DSL modem..

so kung modem/router imo zyxel ok ra ang modem>switch>client pc

I have 4 computers and 1 PLDT Zyxel modem router (Dynamic IP)... They said pwede na daw ni mahimo na router ang PLDT modem... I want unta to eliminate my ASUS router and use PLDT Zyxel directly nalang... Pero I dont know how to configure daghan mn kaayo mga settings na wa ko kibalo gud unsaon... Anyone who can help?... You can use my config file from my Zyxel P-660R-D1, bali 4 ka pc naka connect ani, only using the CDRking Switch.

So heres what you need to do.

- set your PC IP to 192.168.1.33, subnet mask 255.255.255.0

- open your internet browser and type this address 192.168.1.1

Welcome to your router Configuration InterfaceEnter your password and press enter or click "Login"

password: 1234

Use this screen to change the password.


Your router is currently using the default password. To protect your network from unauthorized users we suggest you change your password at this time.

click ignore

Please select Wizard or Advanced mode


The Wizard setup walks you through the most common configuration settings.

click Go to Advanced setup

- click maintenance
-------- click tools

click configuration tab

Restore Configuration

To restore a previously saved configuration file on your computer to the router, please type a location for storing the configuration file or click Browse to look for one, and then click Upload.

click browse, then katong file nga gi pa extract nako nimo sa mydoc file name: rom-0-Dual User (meaning multiple user)

click upload

the router will configure it self.

The Router Is Rebooting Now. Please Wait ... The router will now reboot.
As there will be no indication of when the process is complete, please wait for one minute before attempting to access the router again.

wait maka restart siya.

then login balik...

- input pass
- ignore new pass

- pero dire sa wizard click Go to Wizard setup
- click INTERNET SETUP

about 7 Seconds

- click next after detecting ISP.

then mao na dayo ni mo gawas.

inig balik nimo sa main page mao pani ang status

Turn off your Zyxel.. after 10 secs e on balik.. mag blink pana ang Green, then Orange, then ang 3rd Green.

3rd Green nga light mag sige na blink till mo siga ang 4th Green..

Then balik login sa 192.168.1.1

then click Advance

then the status will be like this.

WAN Information
- DSL Mode: ADSL2+ Mode
- IP Address: 112.202.56.47
- IP Subnet Mask: 255.255.128.0
- Default Gateway: 112.202.0.1
- VPI/VCI: 0/100

Now back to your Lan settings and set the TCP/IP to obtain ip auto, and obtain dns auto. Dayon kana nga Pc ang IP ana is 192.168.1.101 the rest is 102, 103, etc.

Post lang nya dire if naa pa blema.
