PLDT DSL Problems... (Low Bandwidth)

is anyone else experiencing low bandwidth? (I get around 80kbps speed) Maximum download speeds average at about 10-12KB/s. I've called PLDT and they told me that they had not heard of anyone who was or is having the problem.

I've also read from previous posts about their BAD DNS problems. Can anyone shed light on this?

im not satisfied with PLDT myDSL. i only get around 150Kbps using mcafee test ... worse, i sometimes get lower than that...

same download speed as yours. and internet connection is intermittent... and there are some sites that cannot be accessed..
very bad.

if i call them, then that will make two of us... that if they will acknowledge.
their costumer service is unsatisfactory... i've called them many times.

i want to switch to Globe but i want to make sure i dont get the same prob.

So I guess this means nga there is really something wrong with PLDT's network. I've called them mga 3 times already regarding this. Mga almost a week na ni nga problem... to think we're paying for the service and we only get this crap.

They told me nga they will do "Port testing" daw to verify the cause sa slowness. They will relay the information to their mla office. I asked them if naa bay known issues / hardware problems etc.. they said . all their equipment is working daw as it should and no notices from mla on problems with DSL... i suspect 2 things..

1. Daghan na kaayo silag subscribers (my brother who lives in Mla gets very erratic download speeds... mu kusog usahay.. then mu slow down ra sad... as slow as what I had experienced)

2. Naay something wrong sa ilang network... it might be a local port we're connected to or something else in manila nga wala pa nila gi report to cebu.

I'll update this thread kung naay developments with this problem. If you guys know somethiing also, please share it to help the others.

PLDT myDSL subscriber ko before. Makalagot gyud ilang service. Gi atay na sila. Nya sila pa ang mangasaba sa ilang clients. Pagka nindot ipapaak sa among iro.

That's really bad bai..to think nga critical gud na to ur business.. maypa ayaw bayri ang next nimo nga bill.. and tell pldt nga u will be charging them for lost revenue because of their downtime.

I'm really thinking about switching to globe... give pldt an ultimatum na if they dont fix it by this date.. will not pay my bills with them anymore.. if they wanna sue me for non payment. then we'll go to court.. sila man ang mas ma daot kay ppl will know how lousy their dsl is.

hmm i think ang mga older subscribers ra ang nag problema sa ilang connection kay ako diri wala gyud tawn. my uptime has been since last friday wala pako mo disconnect

hahahah bali lagi. kay katong una, ok kaayo ang amo connection. pero karon raman hinoon ni sigi discon discon or hinay kaayo pag balhin namo.
