Sa ako na case b4 ba mga 2-3 weeks nilabay until now mystery japun ang nahitabo coz I think this is a PSU related problem.

I have a 2 months old PC AM2 X2 and asus mobo, ako nasad ni gi post b4 then ang nahitabo when using manxx PSU from PCX right after 1 month ako system ni hang ang nahitabo sa 1st hang kay it turns my display into small tyles wallpaper without any icons and taskbar etc.. at the same time nag pa sound ko ato then ang sound naglooping balik balik, then no way ma ctrl alt del nako, so ako jud i restart also no keyb and mouse but the lights are present. The 1st and 2nd incident almost similar. And after 1 day ni hang nasad, nakita jud nako nga ni gahi ang mouse unya mao lage mawala ang taskbar and icons etc...di sad ma ctrl alt del ug same the mouse and keyb mo lights cya...then nausab ang background into white with gray spots. Then ako gi buhat right after pag clear nako sa cmos sa mobo ako dayon gi ilisan ang PSU coz I also have a spare bnew psu nga frontier pero generic then mao nato pag ilis nako ka luoy sa Ginoo wala naman ni balik...

Btw, I have checked the PSU wala mansad masunog, I tested the CPU, RAM and even replaced the HDD but still walay problem sa akong pag burn test jud.

Mga master maka conclude kaha ko nga sa PSU ang problem coz mo 1month na sad almost wala naman magka problema...kay BORDZZ told me nga he also encounter that problem before then sa PSU daw ang naka ingon ato.

What do you think? mao bana nga risk makuha nato sa pag use ug generic PSU like hanging etc..??

Bisag generic pa na cya basta makameet lang sa minimum requirements k ra. Usually attakihon ani kay board. Proper maintenance ra gyud na aron walay maguba.

Im not a gamer I just need a good pc for webdevelopment. I usually browse the web and play music.

I have a 500W psu so far okay, mao mo sakripisyo sako coz I need to buy a good PSU sooner for better protection.

If budget is not a problem, then way problema, we can buy anything we want. For 6k PSU, I could buy an LCD for that. It seems, na depende ra na sa imo need, usage and hardware. High end mobo, proc and GPUs require high end PSU's.

From where I work, we have about a thousand PCs all using generic PSU's and we dont have a problem whatsoever.

my pc uses a 500W generic PSU. 24/7 sya ga-andar for 1 and 1/2 yrs na. dual core 2.0ghz, 2GB RAM, GDDR3 PCI-X VC, 2 optical drives, 3 HDDs, 9 fans. usahai ra mag-aircon. so far wala pa man naguba.

OR it takes out the motherboard, video card, etc., etc. as a worst case scenario.

Actually I've expereinced the one where the generic PSU took out the Video card (ATI Radeon 9550). Even made a thread about it here: https://www.istorya.net/forums/comput...on-9550-a.html

I've also experienced the one where the generic PSU took out the onbaord LAN, and nothine else (Asrock M266A Mobo).

im using a Dynamo Pro 600W , so far ok raman ,
8600 GT ako vid card , w/2 HDD , 2 Optical Drives , dual channel ddr2-800 rams , e6550 proc overclock to 2.7GHz( default is 2.33 GHz) then 4 additional fans aside from HSF (coolermaster eclipse) wala man nihagtos ...
timing - timing ra cguro , anyway if naa jud enough budget go for branded ones , but if wala go for generics na mahalon , hehehe
remember lang not to overload the PSU ,,,

anyway if muhagtos jud ang generic PSU , u have no choice but to buy another one ...
