it's pretty amazing what science could do these days. but no matter how advanced science is slowly becoming, there are still some phenomena that can't be explained by science. some things are better left unknown. there's still beauty at being awed by the mystery of the unexplained.
i think this is the most common one for the reason alone that a camera can detect heat and light.
(never heard of a thermal camera before. is it the same as infrared camera?)
wala pa sad ko nakahuna huna ug picture anang dying na taw.
it's very difficult to study/prove paranormal activities due to its complexity - kanang i qualify/quantify "things" which cannot be seen by our naked eye.
hangtod karon mag star-star pa man ako mata if physics ang storyaan.

well, some explain that the ability for ghosts to be "unseen" is because they are doing something to our minds. a camera has no mind so therefore it cannot be manipulated by a ghost and consequentially it can be visible to a camera.
a child also has a mind that still has minimal comprehension which also explains why it cannot be manipulated by ghosts.
so these people claiming to have such abilities are being manipulated by the unseen?
or is it the energy of the unseen that's doing so?
i suppose the unseen don't have minds siguro... or i dunno...

wait, is this not a contradiction of terms? Paranormal explained in scientific manner. Para Normal is not fully normal, or does not follow norms. Science, which is based on physical norms, cause and effect etc. etc. could not go out of its way in explaining phenomenon following outside norm.
What science is doing is to explain the manner of how a phenomenon acts in a norm.
What paranormal is, is something that does not follow norm.
How could science, which explains a phenomenon acting by a norm, explains something that does not follow norm? Contradiction?
Paranormal doesn't mean NOT normal
Being NOT normal is an ABNORMALITY
The term PARANORMAL is used to describe unusual phenomena
or experiences that lack an obvious scientific explanation
Hence, that's what we are trying to do ...
use scientific means to try explain those that are not yet explained by science
when one has already enough scientific evidence to provide obvious scientific explanation
Then it is not paranormal anymore...
There's no contradiction there bro.
There are a lot of ways to gather evidences scientifically
in an effort to explain the paranormal phenomenon
There are case reports/anecdotes,experimentation, participant-observation and etc.
And with the help of amazing advances in technology...we can properly document these
alleged paranormal phenomena until it reaches certain validity in the scientific world.
If you've noticed, groups in the Philippnes who delve into the paranormal
most are either too mystic or too spiritual..
w/c in the absence of technology and knowledge for documentation
and in the presence of rich mystic and spiritual influences
is quite understandable...however, Filipinos are evolving too
CPS would like to strike a balance between
the culture of Filipino Mysticism and the Western Science
It is a statement that, we are open to the possibility of the paranormal phenomenon
and at the same time, we would like to contribute to the scientific community
the probable explanations of it's occurrence.
namaste!
if you refer to paranormal as something not not within the realms of norms (double negation intended) and that you define it as unusual phenomenon, dont we then regard all new scientific discoveries, as paranormal and becomes normal only when the social sphere has got used to it?
What do you mean "unusual" ? and what is the limits of "unusual" in its ultimate sense?
