    maybe we should slowly try to try out the alternatives so we can lessen our dependence on foreign oil..

    for once. I'd like to bankrupt those god forsaken countries who manipulate us tiny little things.. hehe

    3. support the government in finding oil sources here in the pinas.. i think naa nman tingali nakit.an diri..

    Spratley Islands

    In 1968 oil was discovered in the region. The Geology and Mineral Resources Ministry of the People's Republic of China (PRC) has estimated that the Spratly area holds oil and natural gas reserves of 17.7 billion tons (1.60 × 1010 kg), as compared to the 13 billion tons (1.17 × 1010 kg) held by Kuwait, placing it as the fourth largest reserve bed in the world. Naturally, these large reserves assisted in intensifying the situation and propelled the territorial claims of the neighboring countries.

    Since Pol Sci ang Subject, I assume kailangan political ang solution sa problem.

    1. Create Bike Lanes sa streets to make it more convenient for Bike transport and decongest car traffic. (this was done sa Marikina) Cebu is a small City and It's practical to use Bicycles to go from one place to another. You just need to create infrastructure to make it safer and more comfortable (Trees for shade)

    2. Tax less efficient vehicles and give tax breaks to fuel efficient cars. (more incentive to use fuel efficient / smaller vehicles)

    3. Invest in alternative fuels..Expand Bio diesel Agriculture w/o affecting our own Agriculture (Refer to Brazil's Bio Diesel Agri)

    4. Encourage automotive industry to import use of small passenger car vehicles that use Diesel / Bio Diesel.. (Tax breaks for passenger cars with 1.8 liter Diesel engines and below)

    5. Use and develop electric jeepneys (currently has a range of 120-140 kilometers on a single charge with 40km/hr top speed and 8 hour charging time). These can be used in the city proper.

    6. Transportation master plan for the next 10-20 years involving MRT's, Electric Jeepney only routes within the city. By this time, Solar Panels and Battery Technology will be economically viable for all electric vehicles.

    @vipvip68

    Nice political approach pero too high for an ideal in the present administration.
