    popcorn -$179
    750gb hdd - $125
    DHL freight - $60
    Tax sa DHL - Php3200
    telegraphic transfer $25

i ordered the set from popcornhour malaysia. naa nay preloaded mkv (HD movies) sa akong hdd. kung mo order ka, tell them to undervalue when declaring the cost sa dhl. nasayop ang seller kay ilang messenger wala kahibaw na e under value mao nakabayad ko og 3k, gi ahak lang to sila.

hmmm. mau bati gyud ang signal nganhi kai SD paman ta. pero ok man kaau akong 32"samsung for DVD and a spare cpu for games you'd need at least 512mb of video memory for it to work. Also planning to get a PS3 for bluray movies. So far I'm happy with my purchase. I also watch downloaded videos and those look really great on the 32".

i'm quite satisfied with a full hd and an upconverting dvd player...IMO...just use hdmi cable...the rgb or composite does not look good. and yes, color calibration does make a difference.

upconverting dvd player is already good esp when using the bluray/hd-dvd dvd copies sa bangketa. those discs have higher resolution than the orig dvd. but when you experience a 720p or 1080p mkv movies, lahi na na league ni kaysa upscaled dvd. labi na kung bluray pa gyud na wala na gi compress like sa mkv files.

FYI,Bluray still uses video compression albeit in a more effecient way. The encoding used is H.264/MPEG-4 btw.

I am just curious . Is there a plan to switch all TV broadcast to digital in the philippines? Here in the states they will phasing out all analog broadcast starting Feb next year. Digital broadcast makes a whole lot of difference PQ wise eventhough digital doesn't mean its HD.
