What about it ? KNow first your preference , SPL or SOUND PRESSURE LEVEL equates to LOUD BASS and SQ is SOUND QUALITY . Brands wont matter , its how it was installed bai though you get more for what you paid for ... it is hard for one to lay down the cards to figure out which one is for SQ and which one is for SPL ... those brands mentioned are only a fraction of all the manufacturers that existed and probably half of it was made for SPL and the other for SQ .

From my experience , I was fortunate enough to get sponsored for an SPL set-up and had the oppurtunity to experience also an SQ system .

Most of my SPL system carried the JL AUDIO and ALPINE products and the SQ system carried the MB QUARTZ , PHOENIX GOLD , CROSSFIRE and PRECISION POWER products , that was 10 years ago though .

imho, it all boils down to _how_ your system is setup. one can't really stereotype brands as for SQ or SPL.
