SD-1 is an overdrive. don't expect much gain ani. this is the same sa tube screamer specs

DS-1/2 have more gain than SD-1. it's like two overdrives in series

this is a low-gain pedal and is very good for warm and smooth overdriven sound. This pedal fits any musician, but still it depends on one's preferences on dirt tones.
