Mr. Rodis-Jamero hails from Mabolo, Cebu City.

    P.S.

Nilo was also the "Effects Design Director" of "Poltergeist" (Toby Hopper) and credited full screen. He is coming home for a vacation this Christmas and will spend a technical roundtable discussion with the SineBuano group.
Then we should be proud for our fellow Cebuano Mr. Rodis-Jamero

he didn't. in fact the only person who liked STAR WARS A NEW HOPE when he was done cooking the movie up was his friend Steven Spielberg...

as for his time travel, he knew a little bit of how it all started (before Episode IV), as there always is backstory when you begin to write a screenplay...

but i can't be sure... maybe he had a rough draft of ONE stand alone movie, that was to become Star Wars and then developed the story from there.

The inspiration for Star Wars A NEW HOPE was Akira Kurosawa's THE HIDDEN FORTRESS.

I'm sure a lot of you have read some early drafts of Lucas's screenplay; most of them were mish-mash going nowhere... and in one of those draft's you'll see a character named AKIRA VALLOR, the father of a BINK VALLOR.

Akira is his homage to the influencial filmmaker Akira Kurosawa. and Bink? was pro'lly the name he recycled to create "Jar Jar Binks" when he started writing THE PHANTOM MENACE and this is a long fcking post. Sorry.

I hope he directed the actors right this time...

    I don't think G.L. was ever a good actor's director.
Mark Hammil in ANH was decent, Harrison Ford was a natural.

ngano pa gani to iyang gi turn over ang director's chair ni Irvin Kershner ug Richard Marquand sa Ep. 5 and 6?
    kalimot ko....

    ang pressure daw?

here is the link to the screenplay:

    http://www.supershadow.com/starwars/...ot_script.html

It is REAL. its NOT fake, although the script is incomplete and some are written by human wisdom and not from the spirit of Lucas...

but it is real, and the events described there? They will be what you will see in the movie. I guarantee it, believe me.

    Lagi.

    Promise.
