Child abuse, Rape and Incest~

for me rape (incest) is the most unforgivable act. i cannot even image the pain a child goes through after being abused by somebody she/he trusts

unforgivable gyud. i saw that episode on oprah about 3 sisters who were raped by their father who is a minister, he raped them over & over again for yrs & yrs..their mother knew but never did anything about it. finally one of the sister shot their dad.
im just apalled how could this happened but its happening around us. it could be to people that we know, we just dont know.

more of the thought on how do we deal with these culprits.. let's drill down to what's causing such cases.. with how i see it, this is basically just a chain reaction.. a problem created from another problem.. POVERTY can be directly be attributed to it.. limiting the context to Phil setting.. such cases generally happens under following conditions

--- families without decent homes where they have to sleep in the same room
--- unemployed ( it's pretty normal for guys to go nuts.. esp with an empty stomach )
--- lack of information dissemination ( these people don't know how serious the things they are doing, an on the other hand victims are not properly guided as to entities that would help them)
--- the mindset that they can't take this case to proper courts due to lack of financial leverage

i think people who do this are mentally ill or had been molested too when they were kids.

A big contributing factor are the DRUGLORDS . They provide drugs to people who by statistics while commiting the crime of rape is high on drugs .

Does the definition of "child abuse" includes bringing a baby/child into this world knowing full well as a parent you do not have the basic necessities to provide (food/shelter/clothing)?

Incest and rape are seriously "evil" acts…just wondering why it does not rate to Christian's "Big Ten?". It would have been more relevant and a valuable commandment.

It might not be specifically directed into but it will fall on the category COMMANDMENT number 4 and COMMANDMENT number 6 respectivley .

INCEST :

HONOR THY FATHER AND THY MOTHER.

"This Commandment was set down for men to better understand that honor, love, respect, dignity, had to be for The Father Himself, Our Heavenly Mother, and then the earthly parents from which all men would come. This Rule would automatically stabilize man's thinking, and permit man to rationalize the order of things. When a man upholds this Commandment, he is just with his neighbor and is aware of the need that respect brings. A solid foundation helps men to be able to withstand weakness and conquer it when needed."



RAPE :

THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY.

"This Commandment is to allow men to better understand that wrong use of bodily communication with other men has a definite disgrace in God's Plan. Promiscuous involvement to satisfy only the senses has many areas wherein men sin against their role in God's Plan. This Commandment definitely says that homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion, pornography, and all promiscuous endeavors of man, have a permissiveness that is against the reason for creating mankind.

God said to Moses, 'Men will have many excuses and will justify their sins against this Commandment. Also, men will deliberately attach only specific sins on this Commandment, for shame will make them call this The Hidden Commandment'."

Impurity - attack through the senses, lack of self-discipline, permissiveness, self-love.

Promiscuity - encouraging men to act without dignity, degrading the purpose of human intimate relationship.

Self-abuse - physically, mentally, emotionally.

Mental abuse causes grave sins, sometimes grave intention for sin, permitting the intellect to become so permeated with sinful thoughts that men sin consistently and it weakens them in every way.

hmmm... might as well use the term DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

how about the battered wives/girlfriends? those who get some beating whenever their hubbies or boyfriends or partners feel like doing so? i don't think the society's paying much attention to their needs...
