-by simple isolation of the mem modules
-either by trying it out on a known working computer or by trying a good mem to the system that is having a problem.
-on most desktops computers, taking mem modules out of the system will create beeping sound.
-physical burnt marks (would appear if modules arent seated properly)

Run test # 5 atleast 50 times, if you get errors that means your ram is defective or incorrectly configured in the bios.
