acer is a good brand...
usually its how a laptop is handled that determine how long they last.

my wife's aspire 3860 is still operational after 2 yrs...

ah vostro... ako man gud dad mu palit para nako... and i think ganahan siya Bnew jud.. im also contemplating on buying a Dell XPS 1530 laptop or HP 6700XT models.. or Asus G2s laptop.. ngita rako cheaper kay mu palit pako lain butang heheh

mahal lng jud ang HP i dont know why.. pero oks man sad.. pero ako apas kay sa Acer kay barato na gaming laptop.. for WOW nako incase adto ko balay barkada...

but Dell XPS 1530 ako ganahan, but if cheaper laptop ako like acer. then ok kaau kay maka palit pako cymbals

just remember that purchasing the laptop is just half of the story...
try to check if you can get after-sales services where you are. check where the warranty applies. no matter how durable a laptop is (or how good you take care of it), it will require maintenance and/or repairs during its useful life.
