MYX, MTV or Channel V?

What I really hate about MTV is their playlist. A few months back, motoalert featured more-or-less underground music.. they featured Mars Volta once. Now, even that show feeds us b*llsh*t like already very popular acts like ashlee simpson. All their shows are officially made for only one audience.

How are they supposed to make money if they're only catering to a minority?
